Rather than trying to pass one whole constitution at once which would never get ratified by the world I was thinking of making it much more inclusive and crowd – source based where every citizen has the chance to input their thoughts into the process. We find things that we’d like to see adopted universally across the world and individually make them into proclamations that individual citizens (or later cities and countries) vote upon to ratify. It’s a lot simpler that way and if a part of it doesn’t get passed at first the rest of it will still come through and be made into law.
Here are some examples….
- Live and Let Live
We hereby vow to accept “Live and let Live” as our main law, letting the same guide all of our actions.
- Establishment of Embassies
We hereby call for the Establishment of Embassies around the Globe
They will serve to represent the Empire, the Hanian People and Humanity
In citizenship affairs, cultural outreach as well as diplomatic endeavors
- Globally Unite
We hereby accept our mandate to globally unite with one another
As well as vow to spread the virtue and benefits of the same
We hereby adopt the motto “To Dream * To Dare * To Do”
- Earth is for all Humans
We hereby declare that Earth is for all Humans; granting freedom to live in peace with opportunities for all people
Short and Flexible
You can see how all of these are short and direct. Simple yet effective. Most people should be able to agree with them with ease. Yet if for some reason people may not agree with all of them, they can simply vote to ratify those they believe in and omit those they don’t. At the end majority rules. So those things where not a majority of humans agree with remain in the sand box, potentially being altered in some way and voted upon again.
This allows us to push for valid change without being bogged down by minor differences of opinion. No need to toss out the baby with the bathwater, this way the things which aren’t common and universal remain on the back burner as far as global laws and mandates are concerned. They can still be addressed and passed locally – anywhere from the community level to a continental level.
While I’m likely to come up with a few of them as Empress, any citizen can help us create more of these and refine the wording of those we’re having a hard time with… they are often short enough they can even be spread via Twitter and social media. Easy to translate and share. Crowd sourced. Together they will eventually form our constitution; being amended as other bits are included and ratified! You as a human being have ultimate power to voice your opinion in all matters related to Government and the laws that we follow as a planetary empire.
